Compensation: Competitive salary in $USD
Modality: Hybrid – Alajuela Costa Rica Office (1 day a week on-site)
Schedule: Once a week at the Office

What you’ll be doing:

Hire and train technology staff
Develop leadership talent and mentorship within the organization
Set up and manage KPIs for the different technology areas
Lead and participate in the design, development, and release of standardized support metrics across the teams
Ensure strong communication between IT support and the rest of the company
Promote teams’ performance with a congenial and collaborative approach to work through technical problems
Manage, triage, and establish protocol for handling incoming incidents based on severity
Work in conjunction with leadership to set and execute a high-level IT support strategy
Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations
Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement to the IT support process
Show flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the business
Perform other related duties as assigned

What you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience as Release Manager
Strong leadership and staff development skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate to both technical and non-technical associates
Strong customer focus; sense of urgency and flexibility on changing circumstances
Thorough understanding of IT and IT support

What will make you stand out:

Experience working with eCommerce platforms (B2B and/or B2C)
Experience in cloud-related technologies such as AWS
Experience in web-related technologies (Web applications, micro services, and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
