POWER BI SPECIALIST / DEVELOPER FOR HUMAN RESOURCES

Position overview:

Join us at The Coca-Cola Company! We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Data and Power BI Specialist to join us. If you’re skilled at using Microsoft’s Power Platform tools and like creating digital solutions, you’re a great fit for our team.

This role, set for an initial 6-month period, is part of our Human Resources Technology & Platforms team. You’ll help support our HR Reporting Strategy for different HR departments within The Coca-Cola Company.

As a specialist, you’ll use our HR Platforms to gather data and create, implement, and maintain reports and dashboards for our community. If you have experience with advanced analytics using MS Power BI and occasionally Power Automate and Power Apps, we’d love to hear from you!

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica, Hybrid schedule. Minimum once a week at the office.

Compensation Range: $2800-$3500* subject to law reductions.

What You will Do for Us (Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities)

·        Support client requirements, listen to customer feedback and most importantly, incorporate their demands into deliverables based on an agreed roadmap.

·        Extracting and interpreting data from various sources and platforms to support decision-making.

·        Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI mainly.

·        Performing and automating in-depth and detailed data analyses using Power BI suite and DAX scripting language.

·        Build visualizations and reports for requested projects based on data clients’ requirements.

·        Collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to understand data needs and develop appropriate BI solutions.

·        Designing and building BI data models to support various reporting requirements.

·        Ensuring data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures.

·        Conducting troubleshooting on BI models.

·        Training team members on data visualization tools and promoting data-driven decision making across the organization.

·        Implementing data governance and data quality standards, including data lineage, to ensure data integrity.

·        Continuously monitoring, refining, and executing improvements to existing BI reports and dashboards.

·        Understand HR data flow and systems for building automated reporting and analytics needs.

Qualifications and Requirements 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is desired but not mandatory.

·        Proven experience as a BI specialist, developer or Data Analyst using Power BI.

·        Advanced proficiency in BI technologies like Power BI, DAX scripting, Power Query, databases, and SQL.

·        Microsoft Power BI PL-300 certification is a plus.

·        Microsoft Power BI Report Builder proven experience is desired.

·        UX/UI proven experience is desired and will provide additional points.

·        Strong analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.

·        Experience in developing and maintaining BI dashboards, reports, and solutions.

·        Good knowledge of data warehousing, modeling techniques, and data transformation.

·        Experience in data governance, data quality standards, and ensuring data integrity.

·        Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and train team members.

·        Experience in collaborating with various teams and understanding their data requirements.

·        Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy in data reporting, and ability to troubleshoot BI models.

·        Continual learning approach to stay updated with latest BI technologies and techniques.

·        Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform environment is desired.

·        Understanding of data formats such as JSON, CSV, XML, and REST APIs, as well as comprehension of how large systems exchange data, would be an advantage.

·        A minimum of 3 years of overall work experience in relevant areas is required.

·        Previous experience in Management Consulting is preferred. Having experience in human resource management processes and systems is also beneficial.

·        Must have experience in all aspects of both Technology and non-Technology related project management.

·        Demonstrated ability to balance immediate and short-term needs, delivering effective results.
